摘要：（ Bimonthly ） No. 4 Jul. 2013 （ Serial No. 142） Assessing the Development of General Aptitude  among College Students in ChinaTong HuiJie Tong Ding Ma ShanShan P13Abstract：To assess the development of work-related skills among college students, the present study gives General Aptitude Test Bat- tery （GATB） test to 1022 college students and 627 middle school students in China. It is found that students＇ general aptitude grows fluctuantly from middle school to college. What＇ s more, students majoring in varied fields or from varied types of schools differ consid- erably in their GATB scores. From middle school to college, female students maintain their supremacy in linguistic ability, while male students are able to develop and excel in various other skills. It is necessary to develop specific GATB norms for college students, which could be a useful tool for career counselors at college.
