摘要：Social Stratification and Higher Education Equity from the Perspective  of Pierre Bourdieu＇ s Theory of Cultural Reproduction Dong Zefang Zhao Yulian P1Abstract： Pierre Bourdieu＇ s theory of cultural reproduction provides epistemological basis, reflective research methodology and a multi- variable framework for analyzing the impact of social stratification on higher education equity. From the perspective of cultural reproduc- tion theory, ＂habitus＂ is the psychological foundation of higher education inequity, whereas ＂capital＂ the physical basis, ＂symbolic power＂ the institutional cause. Therefore, it is necessary to renew our concept of culture, strengthen institutional reform and adjust the structure of higher education system, so as to promote higher education equity in China.
