Reflections on the Challenges Confronting China＇ s Municipal Colleges in Transition

摘要：Transforming municipal colleges for local and global challenges is an issue of tremendous and enduring significance for higher education reform in China. To promote the transformation of municipal colleges, it is necessary to identify the leading protagonist of the reform, establish guiding conceptual frameworks as well as robust institutional arrangements, conduct a game-theoretic analysis of all stakeholders＇ motivation, focus on solving employment problems confronting college graduates, and implement differentiated manage- ment as well as performance evaluation, so as to guarantee the smooth transition of municipal colleges.
