摘要：Zhang Yixing P1 Abstract ： To improve teaching quality, it is very important to delineate the roles and responsibilities of faculty members in the universi- ty. Teachers＇ duty should be to impart knowledge and education people; however, due to various historical and realistic reasons, teachers have failed to satisfactorily fulfill their duty. To remedy this situation, it is necessary to 1 ） maintain a correct relationship be- tween teaching and research with the former as the top priority; 2） maintain a correct relationship between cultivating virtue and pursu- ing knowledge with morality as the prime concern ; 3 ） maintain a correct relationship between teachers and students with the latter as the primary agent of education Key words： teaching and research; cultivating virtue and pursuing knowledge ; primary agent
